Basic Poultry Economics
To kickstart production for a new pen of 5,000 birds, the total cost of birds and initial feed is raised within an investment window. When an investment window opens, a set number of investors, typically only 10 people but often less, are invited to contribute a portion of this cost in order to earn proportional profits based on their investment.
For example, in the current investment offer (Pen 3), investing 10% which is ₦5 million towards the cost of birds and feed by the stipulated deadline will earn you a profit of ₦2.3 million at the end of the 18-month egg production cycle. This translates to an attractive 46% Return on Investment (ROI). Responding to popular demand, we have introduced smaller investment slots with slightly different ROI options, making it even more accessible to investors.
